Four individuals were on Sunday night harmed when eight shooters suspected to be Al-Shabaab activists endeavored to invade a Chinese street building site in Shimbirey, on the edges of Garissa town.

As per Garissa County Police Commander Richard Kerina, who visited the scene, a quick reaction by the police following up on tip-off helped save lives.

Scared local people, who addressed the press on a state of secrecy, said the hooded activists, all equipped with AK-47 rifles, seized a man from a close-by town and requested him to take them to the site.

As they moved toward the camp, the gangsters began shooting unpredictably, provoking the security officers to return fire and curb the assault.

As indicated by Mr. Kerina, in around 15 minutes, the officers could shock the assault and the activists fled to an adjacent brush.
